Are you or a loved one struggling with chronic degenerative diseases or unresolved health conditions? You may be experiencing the effects of Multi-Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS).
The organs and the systems in our body are all working in an orchestrated manner. When organs fail to function as necessary, they set off a domino effect. The unhealthy results of the domino effect are chronic degenerative diseases that are seen all the time in patients. Multi-Organ-Dysfunction-Syndrome is one such serious complication that follows Portal Hypertension as every organ requires blood, not only for oxygen and glucose in addition to messengers of the Neuro-Endo-Immune Supersystem to perform organ specific functions.
This video will take you on a journey to understand the causes of MODS, and how conditions such as Lyme, Fibromyalgia, Myalgic Encephalopathy or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are mistakenly diagnosed for the effects of Insulin Resistance, and Portal Hypertension causing MODS. You will also learn about the role of Insulin Resistance in the development of MODS and how it can lead to entirely new and misunderstood conditions.
Through this video, you will discover the importance of Vasomotor control of blood flow in MODS and how Portal Hypertension alters the blood flow to every organ in our body. You will also learn how to navigate the complexities of MODS, with helpful insights from experts in the field.
Don’t let MODS control your life. Take control of your health by understanding the devastating domino effect of Multi-Organ Dysfunction Syndrome. Watch our video now and start on the path to recovery.
Organ Dysfunction
Organ dysfunction is a condition where an organ does not perform its expected function. Organ failure is organ dysfunction to such a degree that normal homeostasis cannot be maintained without external clinical intervention. Organ dysfunction in a chronically ill patient can be described in one of three ways:
- The Medical version is the need for clinical intervention to support the failing organ system (mechanical ventilation, hemodialysis, inotropic or vasopressor agents, pharmaceutical drugs, parenteral nutrition etc).
- The Functional version is the need for nutritional supplementation to support the faltering organ system based on lab testing. (Supplements to restore metabolic pathways)
- The Structural version is the physiologic derangement that makes either of the two previous version of support necessary (Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT), Inversion).
These three versions are listed in the reverse order of severity. The Medical version is the worst-case scenario where for whatever reason, Medical care is necessary to maintain life. When a person reaches this level, it is not a matter of health.
Functional Definition of Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS)
MODS is defined as a clinical syndrome characterized by the development of progressive and potentially reversible physiologic dysfunction in 2 or more organs or organ systems that is induced by a variety of acute insults, including sepsis. The Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS) can be further defined as the development of potentially reversible physiologic derangement involving two or more organ systems not involved in the disorder that resulted in the patient seeking help, and arising in the wake of a health-threatening physiologic insult.
