Description

Peace of Mind Through Proactive Monitoring – Powered by Quest Diagnostics

Take charge of your health with our targeted Men’s Cancer Screening Panel, a convenient blood-based test designed to measure key tumor markers commonly associated with cancers that affect men. This panel provides valuable insights into potential abnormalities, helping you and your healthcare provider stay ahead of concerns related to prostate, pancreatic, colorectal, liver, testicular, and other cancers.Key Features

  • No Fasting Required – Easy and flexible; get tested at your convenience.
  • Simple Specimen – Just a single blood draw.
  • Trusted Lab – Processed by Quest Diagnostics, a leader in diagnostic testing.
  • Quick Results – Tests run Monday–Friday; average report available in 4-5 days (turnaround is an estimate and may vary due to factors like holidays, weather, confirmation testing, or maintenance).

What the Panel IncludesThis panel evaluates five established tumor markers, each with specific relevance to cancer monitoring:

  • PSA, Total (Prostate-Specific Antigen): Measures a protein produced by the prostate gland. Elevated levels can help assess prostate health and assist in the detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of prostate cancer—the most common cancer in men.
  • CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen): A protein that may rise in colorectal cancer and other malignancies (e.g., lung, breast, pancreatic, liver, prostate). Useful for tracking prognosis, recurrence after treatment, and therapy effectiveness; can also elevate due to non-cancer causes like smoking or inflammation.
  • Alpha Fetoprotein (AFP), Tumor Marker: Primarily valuable for monitoring nonseminomatous testicular cancer (a common form in younger men) and liver cancer. Elevated AFP is strongly linked to certain testicular tumors and hepatocellular carcinoma.
  • CA 19-9 (Cancer Antigen 19-9): Often elevated in pancreatic cancer (about 70% of advanced cases), as well as colorectal, lung, gallbladder, and other GI-related cancers. Also rises in benign conditions like pancreatitis, gallstones, or liver disease.
  • CA 125 (Cancer Antigen 125): Best known for ovarian cancer monitoring, but can be elevated in men with pancreatic, liver, colon, lung, or other cancers. Provides additional context for broader abdominal/GI concerns.

Important NotesThese tumor markers are powerful tools for monitoring known risks, tracking treatment response, detecting recurrence, or providing baseline data in high-risk individuals—but they are not standalone diagnostic tests for general population screening. Elevated levels can occur in non-cancerous conditions (e.g., inflammation, benign diseases, smoking), and normal levels do not rule out cancer.

Always interpret results with your doctor alongside symptoms, imaging, history, and other tests.Ideal for men seeking proactive health insights—especially those with family history, risk factors (e.g., smoking, chronic liver issues, age 50+), or wanting comprehensive marker profiling.Empower your health journey today. Consult your physician to see if this panel fits your needs, and discuss any abnormal results promptly for the best outcomes.
